have a claim in your employment relationship

Everyone who works in Norway is entitled to a safe working environment. This means that you are entitled to a salary, an employment contract and a working environment that is in line with Norwegian regulations. In some industries, you must have a minimum wage and an HSE card that shows who you are and where you work.

Unsure if you are running a business?

If you only work for one company, do not use your own equipment and are not responsible for the final result, you are probably an employee and not a self-employed person. Self-employed people do not have the same rights as employees. You should therefore make sure to set aside holiday pay, take out insurance and save for retirement yourself.
