Caritas Legal Aid
We offer free guidance and legal assistance in various areas.

This includes legal advice and assistance in matters relating to labor law, human trafficking and other legal issues.
Human trafficking and gross exploitation in the workplace
We have particular expertise in cases of human trafficking through forced labor, and can offer potential victims close follow-up and guidance on their rights.
We also assist employees who are exposed to various forms of exploitation in the workplace, such as wage theft, threats, violations of the Working Environment Act and the General Provisions Act. We work to uncover and stop such forms of abuse.
Other legal matters
We provide legal advice and can provide assistance in matters within the following areas:
– Monetary claims and bankruptcy law, for example assistance in requesting attachment from the bailiff.
– Immigration law, for example, refusal from the UDI.
– Tenancy law, for example illegal deposits when renting a home.
– Social security and social law, for example, refusals from NAV.

Current affairs
More people must be punished for wage theft
It is incomprehensible and petty that the government would cut legal aid provision during a historically expensive time, which in itself gives people an increased need for legal help, writes Helena Aanstad.
Wage theft must be combated
We applaud the opposition's efforts to strengthen the rights of those affected by wage theft, writes Lejla Maloku Valsgaard.
