Integration
The key to successful integration is being able to speak Norwegian and getting into work. That's why we offer courses and activities with this in mind.
The times we live in are characterized by greater inequality and increased polarization in society. More people are affected by social, economic and cultural exclusion. We are therefore working to further develop services that help immigrants and their families to get out of poverty and into active participation in society and working life.
In Norway, we contribute to the integration of immigrants and refugees in various areas of society. We do this by offering Norwegian language training, job-seeking courses, mentoring and other meeting places where immigrants can meet and exchange experiences.
We also have a counseling service where employees and volunteers with an immigrant background give advice to others in their native language. The counseling is free of charge and takes place at our resource center at Hammersborg Torg 3, Oslo.
Local branches of Caritas offer similar services in Arendal, Bergen, Drammen, Stavanger, Tromsø and Svalbard, and Trondheim.
