At the Resource Center at Nygårdsgaten 3 you can get information and guidance Monday to Thursday between 10:00 and 15:00. We help you write your CV, and give tips and advice that will make it easier to get a job. You can also participate in one of our Norwegian courses, which you can register for here .
Norwegian
The Norwegian language is one of the most important tools you need to succeed in Norwegian society. We offer Norwegian language courses for different levels according to the European Framework for Languages.

The course is intended for those with a fairly good basic understanding of English. Please note that this course is not for beginners. We will train all skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

We offer guidance and advice in various areas, such as housing, family, health, recognition of education, and mediation with employers. In addition, we can assist in NAV cases, such as layoffs, applications for unemployment benefits, child benefits, and the like.
Understanding your rights and Norwegian law can be complicated, so we offer legal advice to help you get an overview.
Get help finding a job in Norway. We can provide you with the necessary resources and advice to make the job search process easier and more efficient.
Volunteers are important resources in our association because their work makes a big difference for everyone who needs help to solve problems and crises they have been affected by. Through volunteer work, people can give something back to society and at the same time they can give themselves a new sense of meaning, learn something new, meet new friends and gain new experiences.
Caritas Bergen welcomes new volunteers with different backgrounds and experiences. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer. We are looking for volunteers who can contribute with:
- Language teaching
- Healthcare education/experience
- Solving problems associated with living in a foreign country
- Knowledge of the job market and finding housing
- Interpretation services
- IT, content production, graphic design to spread information about us
