At the Resource Center for Immigrants, we offer free guidance - often in your own native language.
The resource center is located in central Oslo (Hammersborg Torg 3 - downstairs) and is open Monday to Thursday from 10.00 - 16.00. You can also reach us by phone 23 33 43 61 or e-mail: info@caritas.no.
Ukrainian counseling service
At the center we also have a Ukrainian guidance service. If you don't have the opportunity to come by, they can be contacted on WhatsApp +47 314 02 300.
In April we will have limited operations , and will be available between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on the following days:
- Mondays: April 7, 14 and 28
- Wednesday, April 23
- Thursdays: April 10th and 24th

The Au Pair Center has been closed.
The national au pair center was discontinued on January 1, 2025. This means that Caritas will no longer be organizing activities or information meetings for au pairs or host families. Au pairs must now contact Caritas Resource center for assistance.

Frequently asked questions
We can provide advice and guidance on how to go about finding a job in Norway. We cannot find a job for you, but you can sign up for our job seeker course: CV/Jobbsøkerkurs . The course runs every other Friday, where we help you write your CV so that it is more adapted to Norwegian working life. Immigrants with higher education can also participate in JOBBFOKUS – a course that runs over eight weeks with topics such as: CV and applications, analyzing job advertisements, interview training, the Norwegian labor market and culture, job strategy, networking, LinkedIn and visits to employers.

If you come from a country outside Europe, you need a residence permit. As a rule, you must first find a job. Which residence permit you should apply for depends on your skills and the job you will be doing in Norway. No! The counseling service is a drop-in service, so just drop by Caritas Resource Center. Opening hours are Monday to Thursday between 10.00 - 16.00.
