Pope Francis was a shepherd who went before, with the message of the Gospel as his light and compass. His life and work have been marked by a deep love for humanity – especially to those who suffer most. He leaves behind a world community marked by unrest, but also by hope – nourished by his words, his actions and his belief that peace and brotherhood are possible.
