With us, refugees and immigrants can get free guidance in different languages. Please contact us to make an appointment.
At the resource center, which you will find at Chr. Hvidts plass 2 in Sandefjord, we provide advice, support and guidance on a variety of issues. These include work-related challenges, legal rights in Norway, and difficulties with the UDI and NAV. The center offers free help, and all the information you share with us is treated confidentially through our confidentiality obligation.
Caritas Sandefjord offers not only resources and services, but also a helping hand, support and a caring community. We are here to help you thrive in your new life in Norway. Feel free to contact us today for more information or to arrange a counseling session.
The resource center is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Our activities and offers:
The Norwegian language is the key to integration into Norwegian society, both in social life and in working life.
We therefore offer Norwegian language training at various levels – from A1 to B1.
This is a meeting place where you can meet new people who can help you with your language training. Here you can also get to know the local community better and create networks.
Norwegian language training/beginner – course A1 – Monday 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Norwegian language training/slightly practiced – course A2 – Thursday 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Norwegian language training/advanced – course B1 – Thursday 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Language café – Wednesdays 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
We offer guidance and advice in various areas, such as housing, family, health, recognition of education, and mediation with employers. In addition, we can assist in NAV cases, such as layoffs, applications for unemployment benefits and child benefits, and the like.
The guidance can be conducted in Norwegian, English, Arabic, Polish, Ukrainian or French.
Are you looking for a job? We can help you with your job application and CV. We map skills and opportunities in relation to the labor market, and we are in contact with the local business community.
We offer advice and free legal assistance to those who have challenges with an employer or in other areas. Our experienced lawyers provide guidance in various languages.
In collaboration with the Catholic parish in Sandefjord, we offer a network for youth. These are monthly meetings with various activities such as games, singing and good food.
This is an eight-week course with two hours of attendance every Friday. The goal is to give immigrant women the knowledge and confidence to navigate Norwegian society and become active participants.
This is a meeting place where people from different countries and cultures meet to get to know each other, share experiences and build networks around the table with exotic food.
We collect food, toys, household items and dry food to distribute. We also serve waffles and drinks.
Caritas Sandefjord also participates in national projects related to health and assisted return.
You are welcome to contact us via email or phone to arrange guidance at the Resource Center.
