Postcode lottery

Together for a better world!

The Postcode Lottery makes winning extra special. When you participate in the Postcode Lottery, you get new chances to win every day. At the same time, you support Caritas Norway and 22 other non-profit organizations. Together we create a better world!

The Postcode Lottery is a lottery where you buy tickets together with your neighbors, win together with your neighbors – and help make the world a better place together with your neighbors. Every year, at least 50 percent of the lottery's revenue goes to good causes. So far, Norwegian non-profit organizations have received more than 600 million kroner – thanks to the postcodes and all the people who live in them.

There is always someone who wins.

A ticket costs 200 kroner a month and gives you new chances to win every single day. But you're not the only one who has the chance to win. Every single ticket gives you a prize for Caritas Norway. This way you can both participate and win with the best conscience in the world.

The money from the Postcode Lottery is not earmarked. This means that we can always use the money where it is most urgent and where it will be most useful. This makes the lottery quite unique, and it makes the money from the lottery extra valuable to us. This is because Caritas Norway's local partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America are already present and can respond quickly when a crisis arises. In a time of increasing humanitarian needs and aid cuts, we know that working through local partners is not only the most effective way to reach people in need, but also the only sustainable approach for the future.

Since the Postcode Lottery started in 2018, WWF and SOS Children's Villages have received more than 600 million kroner in total. From March 1, Caritas Norway will also be part of the Postcode Lottery, and we are looking forward to Tom and Jorun coming to visit with the first check with our name on it.
