Cultural interpreter
Do you want to become a cultural interpreter for child welfare?

We offer courses in cultural interpretation with a focus on communication and trust-building between immigrant families and the Norwegian child welfare service.
What is a cultural interpreter?
A cultural interpreter is not a language interpreter, but a person who has multicultural competence and can help build understanding between the Norwegian child welfare service and immigrant families.
In 2025-2026, offers Caritas Norway, with support from Bufdir, free afternoon courses in cultural interpretation with specialization in child welfare.
