The barbershop in Orocuina
–

Wilson grew up in a family of 12 siblings. He had to drop out of school after the fourth grade due to financial difficulties in his family.
At the age of ten he had to travel to Tegucigalpa to work so he could help his family. When he was twenty, he returned to Orocuina to start his own family. He now has seven children.
Wilson is frustrated that he can't give his children the education they deserve, but he's grateful for Caritas Norway who supported him in starting his business. He is now the local community's barber.
As a child, Wilson got his first pair of shoes at the age of 9. He enjoyed playing football, but didn't have much time for it. He looks back on that time with nostalgia, even though it was an extremely difficult period. Despite his childhood being marked by work and farming, he doesn't hold a grudge. It feels good because he knows it helped his family.
To participate in Caritas The project has changed his life for the better. He has been able to save money, plan ahead, and start his own business. Wilson is grateful for the values and support the project has provided, which has helped improve his family's quality of life.
For the future, Wilson dreams of owning a piece of land and giving his children a better education. Despite current challenges, he is optimistic and committed to fighting for better conditions for future generations.
Wilson concludes with a call for continued support and solidarity. Thanks to Caritas Conditions in the village have improved, and they are getting better every day. He emphasizes the need for basic amenities such as electricity and access to education so that the children of Orocuina can have a better future.
