It is with great sadness that we and the entire Norwegian people have received the news of the passing of His Majesty King Harald.

Today we are grateful for King Harald's faithful and unifying service to the people and country. A service in line with his motto: Everything for Norway. 

Caritas Norway expresses our deepest condolences to HM Queen Sonja and the rest of the royal family in their grief over the loss of a husband, father and grandfather, father-in-law and brother. We also share the grief with the Norwegian people.

God, grant him eternal rest,
and let the eternal light shine for him.
