Caritas Trondheim
With us, immigrants can get free guidance at the Resource Center Monday to Friday between 10 - 15.
Caritas Trondheim was established in 2016 and is located at Kongensgate 34. We work with integration and inclusion of immigrants through courses, activities and guidance. We offer Norwegian language courses, language training, job assistance, food distribution, physical activities and activities at asylum reception centers.
The resource center is a drop-in service, so just drop in. Our staff and volunteers can help with various issues.
Our offers and activities:
At our language cafés, you can practice languages in a social and informal setting. We offer language cafés in both Norwegian and English. We use different themes and encourage participants to improve and strengthen their oral language skills. You can discuss, have fun and share your thoughts with each other.
English language café every Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:00.
Norwegian language café every Thursday from 17:00 to 19:00.
Both language cafés take place in our premises.
Caritas Trondheim works for good and dignified integration. We believe that participation in Norwegian society is the key to successful integration, with a focus on employment and Norwegian language skills.
We help you find both an internship and a job. We offer free calls and simple guidance after registration.
The Norwegian language is the key to integration into Norwegian society - both in social life and in working life.
Norwegian language training is therefore an important focus area for Caritas Trondheim. We offer Norwegian language training at different levels - from A1 to B2. We also offer Norwegian language training for people who lack basic skills in reading and writing.
We are approved as a provider of training for adult immigrants under the Act on Integration through Training, Education and Work.

We have a food distribution every week, where we distribute food to those who need help.
You can apply and receive food every other week. The offer is very popular and we prioritize those who need it most. You can apply with us every Thursday and Friday from 10:00 to 15:00. Bring ID cards for you and those you live with.

Caritas Trondheim offers homework help to immigrants studying at Trondheim Adult Education Center (TROVO). We want to empower immigrants to succeed in their education.
We offer extra help in subjects such as Norwegian, English, mathematics, science and social studies, and we customize help according to the participants' level.

Digital competence is an absolute necessity to become well integrated and independent in Norway. We therefore offer computer courses to increase immigrants' digital knowledge. Participants learn how to use a computer, navigate various digital platforms and relevant Norwegian websites. The computer courses take place at different levels and in different languages.
